BBA LLB program is a mix of Management
(BBA) and Law (LLB). BBA LLB is a new generation course started recently in
India and aims to create a brand new race of Corporate Lawyers who would not
only understand the intricacies of business but be equally well-versed in the
nuances of Corporate Laws and Regulatory Affairs. Pursuing BBA LLB a Student
will gain valuable insights in both the business functions like finance, human
resource management, marketing, international business and corporate laws in
the fields of Banking, Corporate Governance, Investment, Competition, Insurance
and Mergers and Acquisitions.
BBA LLB is a 5-year course and for admission in BBA LLB a
student must secure minimum 50 % marks in his class 12th exams apart from
scoring well in the respective Entrance Test. Admission in BBA LLB is generally
done through an Entrance Test and an Interview. While most of the Government
Institutes accept CLAT Scores (Common Law Admission Test) as a major basis for
admission but some of the private universities like Christ, Symbiosis, Amity or
Alliance University conduct their own Entrance Test.

An
applicant seeking admission to the this Degree Course shall have successfully
completed Pre-University Course or Senior Secondary School Course (‘+2’) or
equivalent (such as 11+1, ‘A’ level in Senior School Leaving Certificate
Course) from a recognized University in India or outside, or from a Senior
Secondary Board or equivalent, constituted or recognized by the Union or by a
State Govt. securing in the aggregate, marks not less than 45% (in the case of
SC/ST 40%) of the total marks.

i) Candidates obtaining 10+2 directly without
having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies are not eligible
for admission.
ii) A candidate having passed Job Oriented
course and Diploma Course are not eligible to seek admission.
However, candidates obtaining 44.5% in case
of General Merit & 39.5% in case of SC/ST shall be-deemed to have secured
45% and 40% respectively.
iii) Maximum age for seeking admission to
this Degree Course is 20 years of age (relaxation of two years in case of SC,
ST, Other Backward Communities & Foreign Nationals) as on the last date for
submission of application of the year of admission.
In the case of Foreign Nationals, the
candidate must have studied English Language as one of the compulsory subjects
in 10+2 or equivalent Higher Secondary School Exam by obtaining grade or marks
equivalent to 45% in aggregate as determined by the Equivalence Committee.
